52 interventions mark the beginning of the second phase of the Ophthalmological Surgical Plan in Trujillo

With 52 interventions performed in the first 48 hours, the second phase of the Ophthalmological Surgical Plan, activated by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health at the Dr. Pedro Emilio Carrillo de Valera University Hospital, advanced in Trujillo.

The cases dealt with correspond to reports submitted by the VenApp of the 1x10 of Good Governance, following the instruction of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez.

A team from the Dr. Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital, made up of specialists Gilmar Pazos, Martin Araujo and Carlos Osorio, undertook the surgeries with the goal of solving 200 cases during this phase.

The first lady of the state, Lcda. Reyna de Márquez, toured the healthcare center and recalled that the first stage allowed to serve 218 inhabitants of the region. He indicated that this phase maintains the objective of completing 200 additional procedures.

The president of FUNDASALUD, Dr. Germán Serrano, reported that more than 1,000 people have been evaluated between the two phases, making it possible to define diagnoses and establish medical and surgical care routes.
