9.6 tons of medical supplies and household products arrive in Venezuela from Germany

More than 35 countries have sent aid to Venezuela after a double earthquake

The ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Volker Pellet, received this Sunday, at the “Simón Bolívar” International Airport, in La Guaira, a shipment of 9.6 tons of medical supplies, hygiene kits and household products, from his country, which will allow him to continue with the care of the victims of the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.

“More than 35 countries have sent aid... We are working for more cooperation,” the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, reported during this day from the Port of La Guaira.

According to the latest report on the humanitarian deployment and technical assistance activated by the Bolivarian Government, issued by the Chief of Staff of the Transitional Camps, Jorge Rodríguez, more than 31,837 personnel and 30,197 volunteers have been deployed, together with 2,422 international rescuers, who together have managed to save the lives of 6,462 people through rescue efforts.

The social response has guaranteed the care of 120,794 families, as well as the distribution of 9,995 tons of food and more than 18,507,166 liters of water to ensure the supply of communities affected by the seismic contingency.
