A contingent of civil servants and environmentalists has collected more than 6 thousand tons of waste in La Guaira

A total of 6,712 tons of solid waste and debris have been collected and disposed of safely in the state of La Guaira, as a result of the deployment of an ecosocialist task force activated to address environmental contingencies caused by recent seismic events.

During a technical coordination and monitoring table made up of parish servants from La Guaira, the State Government, the Mayor's Office of the Vargas municipality and the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC), where it was detailed that, although the collection flow has begun to be progressively normalized, it currently maintains a rate of more than 400 tons of waste per day.

This increase in waste generation, which tripled and quadrupled the entity's normal averages, responds directly to intensive rescue efforts and debris removal in the sectors that suffered the greatest structural impacts, requiring an unprecedented logistical response.

To sustain this large deployment, a contingent of 697 public servants and environmentalists are on the ground on a permanent basis, carrying out maneuvers that transcend conventional urban collection.

The daily activation of this political-technical command, which also includes the active participation of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), together with private companies such as Protecnia and Fospuca, is in accordance with instructions to consolidate absolute cleansing and the restoration of ecological balance in the region.

Under this premise, the multidisciplinary team works on the early detection of critical points, optimizing resources to intervene as quickly as possible in priority areas.
