A second shipment containing 25 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in Venezuela from Russia

A second shipment of humanitarian support arrived in Venezuela from Russia with 25 tons, aimed at helping people affected after the recent earthquake of last June 24.

The shipment, in a report by Venezolana de Televisión, indicates that it was received by the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, who said that “we are deeply grateful for this gesture of the Russian Federation; let us remember President Vladimir Putin, who in the early hours sent a telegram of solidarity and condolence to the Venezuelan people.”

Gil also reported that over the weekend Venezuela received more than 35 tons of aid from the Russian nation.

He also highlighted that this shipment includes insulin, medical supplies, medicines, reagents and materials for temporary camps.

For his part, the Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, assured that “for us it is a great honor to be part of the immense international aid to the Venezuelan people.”

He said that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, sends special greetings to his strategic partners in Venezuela.

Venezuela and Russia have more than 80 years of relations of mutual cooperation, which shows how they continue to strengthen their ties of brotherhood.
