The Gaza media office reported, in a statement, that another journalist died this Thursday as a result of Israeli attacks in the Strip.

“As we mourn a new colleague on the road to Jerusalem and liberation, we affirm that we will continue to transmit a message of resistance,” Al-Quds Al-Youm television said.

This is the journalist Wael Abu Fannouna , the deputy head of the media system affiliated with Islamic Jihad, who was the victim of an attack by the Zionist regime, who confirmed that it was tracking him down to annihilate him.

For its part, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) stated this Friday that “journalists in Gaza face particularly high risks while trying to cover the conflict during the Israeli ground attack, including devastating Israeli air strikes, interrupted communications, supply shortages and major power cuts.”

According to the Telesur website, the number of Palestinian journalists killed by Israel in Gaza has risen to 119 since October 7, the number of journalists killed in 2021 and 2022 worldwide.
