Access to Waraira Repano through Caracas remains restricted after the double earthquake of 24-J

The Minister of Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez, reported that access to the Waraira Repano National Park through Caracas remains restricted, given that on the Spanish Way and on the road that goes up from Cotiza to Galipán, there were movements that hindered roads.

“We had some displacements, especially of vegetable mass, because when the earth was exposed to the elements, active slopes began to appear, that is, a certain degree of displacement of land masses, of soil.”, explained the Minister in statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN),

In this regard, he added that the aftershocks have to do with this instability, especially in the headwaters of the rivers.

He also clarified that the only path suitable to be visited, for reasons of recreation or daily exercise, is that of Sabas Nieves, up to the park ranger area above.
