Regarding the bicentennial of the Battle of
Ayacucho, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our
America — Free Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) commemorated the date.
“The ALBA-TCP commemorates a fundamental moment in the
struggle for independence in South America: the Bicentennial of the Battle of
Ayacucho, which was fought on December 9, 1824 and marked the end of Spanish colonization in our continent.
On this day, we pay tribute to
the courageous patriots who, through their sacrifice and determination,
forged a future of freedom and sovereignty for Latin American nations,” the Alliance declared.
This Monday, as part of the commemorative events organized by the State to date, a floral offering was held to the mortal remains of the Liberator, led by the Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
