ALBA-TCP congratulates Venezuela on the results of municipal elections

The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) extended their congratulations to the people and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the election day of July 27.

The ALBA-TCP, through a statement, emphasized that this strong expression of popular sovereignty, experienced on the 71st anniversary of the birth of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, is the best way to honor his legacy. They consider that the election day is a faithful reflection of a leading democracy, deeply rooted in the soul of the Venezuelan people.

The text also highlights the simultaneous holding of the Popular Youth Consultation, an event that reaffirms Venezuela's commitment to a participatory, inclusive, leading and full-time democracy, aimed at incorporating new generations into the country's fundamental decisions.

He also expressed his firm support for the democratic will of the Venezuelan people and recognizes the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro Moros in the defense of peace and institutionality.
