ALBA-TPC rejects attempted coup d'etat in Honduras by fascism allied to imperialism

“The member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) stand in solidarity with the people and government of the Republic of Honduras, in the face of the interference of the United States government in their internal affairs and denounce the attempted coup announced by President Xiomara Castro, this Thursday, August 29, 2024".

This was expressed by the ALBA nations in a statement in which they stand in solidarity with this Central American nation and express all their support for the courageous people and their president Xiomara Castro, while calling on the international community to condemn these brazen acts of interventionism.

“The ALBA-TCP, once again, expresses its strong rejection of these acts, which flagrantly violate the rules of international law. Honduras is a sister nation that maintains excellent and comprehensive relations with the countries of the Alliance, which must be respected by any other State,” emphasized the statement published in Caracas, on August 31, 2024.
