The
Alejandro Otero Museum (MAO) opened the doors of its 5th Annex room to the
collective exhibition “Underlying Dialogues... Veiled Presences”, which will remain
open to the public until next October.
According to
information from the Ministry for Culture, the opening ceremony was given by the
director of the MAO, Efraín Rojas, who indicated that the exhibition is
curated by Richard Aranguren, a researcher at the institution attached to the National Museums
Foundation of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture.
Aranguren
noted that the exhibition is like an open invitation to “listen to the
inaudible and read between the lines”, encouraging visitors to examine each work
to perceive their “own heartbeats, rhythms and temperatures”.
In addition, he highlighted
that, despite the clear plastic differences between the exhibitors,
they all share a common element that links them: the interest in color as a means of expression.
“Underlying Dialogues... Veiled Presences” brings together the work of four outstanding contemporary artists: Jesús Castro, José Guacache, José Moret and Williams Veloz. This exhibition promises to be a space for reflection and appreciation of the diversity of contemporary plastic languages, united by a chromatic common thread.
