All set! Venezuelan Major Professional Baseball League kicks off this weekend (+18MAY)

This Saturday, May 18, the
2024 season of the Major League of Professional Baseball of Venezuela (LMBP) officially kicks off, with the
participation of 8 teams.
At the Universidad Central de Venezuela stadium, starting at
4:00 in the afternoon, Guerreros de Lara and Senadores de Caracas will face each other.
For their part, at the José Bernardo Pérez stadium in Valencia, starting at 5 in
the afternoon, Centaurs de la Guaira and Marineros de Carabobo will play their
first match of the season in homage to “The King” David Concepción, who
together with Omar Vizquel will be the emblematic figures of this championship.
Meanwhile, District Chiefs and Samanes de Aragua
will face off at José Pérez Colmenares in Maracay, also at 5 in the afternoon.
While Lideres de Miranda and Delfines de La Guaira will clash at 6 in the afternoon at the Jorge Luis
García Carneiro stadium in Macuto.
The harvest will have a total of 42 games in the
qualifying round, where District Chiefs, Delfines de La Guaira, Senators from
Caracas, Guerreros de Lara, Centaurros de La Guaira, Leaders from Miranda, Samanes de Aragua and Marineros de Carabobo, will seek to advance to the final round.
It should be noted that the Bank of Venezuela (BDV) will be the
official sponsor of the LMBP.
