The National Assembly (AN) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela published this Saturday the list of citizens nominated by the different sectors of society, as well as on their own initiative, to join the Judicial Nominations Committee.

According to data provided by the Preliminary Committee of Deputies for the formation of the Judicial Nominations Committee, 50 citizens applied on their own initiative, while the remaining 43 were proposed by social organizations.

The names shared by the Preliminary Committee are those that met the requirements of the Law, in accordance with what is enshrined in article 270 of the Constitution of the Republic, in accordance with the provisions of articles 64, 65 and 68 of the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

In this regard, the Venezuelan Parliament announced the beginning of the period of challenges, which must be made in writing by means of reliable evidence, from this Saturday, May 2 to Tuesday, May 5. “Once this period has expired, the preliminary committee will rule on the admission of the challenges received,” says the published document.
