This Tuesday, during the regular session, the National Assembly (AN) repudiated the continuation and upsurge of the illegal, illegitimate and criminal unilateral coercive measures imposed by the supremacist Government of the United States of America on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

“The United States has not complied with the agreements (...) the only demand of the Bolivarian Government in the name of the People was that they immediately cease the illegal and criminal sanctions that have caused harm to Venezuelans,” emphasized the representative Jesús Fária.

In this regard, he pointed out that unilateral coercive measures are a current form of genocide and of exercises of neocolonial practices by the North American empire.

He also stressed that despite the blockade, there has been a national unity to repudiate these criminal and illegal actions.

“Here we have fought the battles, we can be proud of our revolutionary forces and of the Government of Nicolás Maduro that are still standing,” he stressed.

He warned that these aggressions on the part of the US Government are due to the difficulty that the opposition has in connecting with the People and that is why they are attacking in the face of the next elections on July 28 to prevent a new popular victory of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“We can say that with the civic-military union we have once again defeated US imperialism (...) this year 2024 will be one of great victories including the great victory of President Nicolás Maduro in the next elections,” he said.
