The Subcommittee on Labor Affairs of the National Assembly (AN), urged companies to comply with the decisions and requirements emanating from the administrative bodies of the State, to settle the commitments signed in the working tables set up by the parliamentary body, to resolve conflicts in labor matters.

According to a press release published by Venzolana de Televisión (VTV), the call was made by the president of the subcommittee, deputy Luz Coromoto Chacón, during the regular meeting this Friday, where the employers' and labor representatives of Ivento and Metro de Valencia attended.

In the case of reengagement orders, social benefits and nullity of procedures, the parliamentarian explained that these entities do not respond to the calls of the administrative authorities that are dependent on the Ministry of People's Power for the Social Process of Labor (Mpppst).

He noted that the companies Transporte Cata and Alimentos La Lucha are in contempt of the reengagement orders issued by the Labor Inspectorate, and that they were asked to set the dates for executing the return to work.

With regard to the Valencia Metro, a working table has been developed to agree on the entry methodology of workers who received the administrative order; and with the case of Ivento, formerly Iveco, a cargo vehicle dealer, a response is expected from the payment of social benefits, Chacón added.

He indicated that in the working groups created by the Subcommittee on Labor Affairs through the Social Dialogue implemented by the presidency of the AN, in coordination with the Mpppst and the bodies that have participated, workers have been answered.

Finally, he announced that it is foreseen in the care schedule for workers to grant speech rights to those affected by some contractors from Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Proagro, Supermarket Chains, in addition to cases of labor violence in private companies.
