The first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Infante, proposed and was approved to hold the World Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Meeting, in order to confront the traitors of the country and review and reform the electoral laws that will make it possible to strengthen the State and defend the people from those who seek to tarnish the dignity of the country.

In the regular session held at the Federal Legislative Palace, he said that from the AN, “we have regained the majesty of the Legislative Power, protected our people against imperial attacks and the Venezuelan and international extreme right with its face of fascism.”

Infante proposed, first of all, a work plan where all national and international parliamentarians come together, to bring the truth of Venezuela and accompany the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in the defense of sovereignty and independence.

Secondly, he mentioned the creation of the ALBA Peoples Parliamentary Network. Third, a permanent parliamentary exchange with the more than 40 countries that have been illegally sanctioned by the North American empire and the European Union (EU).

Fourthly, he mentioned a World Parliamentary Forum Against Fascism, Neofascism and Similar Expressions.

At this point, the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, reported that the meeting will take place at the beginning of November in Caracas.
