The Ecuadorian State is permeated by drug trafficking and organized crime under the complacent gaze of President Daniel Noboa, said the Spanish political analyst, Fernando Casado.

In this regard, during his participation in the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, he assured that state security forces in Ecuador are committed to drug trafficking, and even at some points they rival criminal gangs for the control of illegal businesses.

“Ecuador went from having 5 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants during the last year of President Rafael Correa, being the safest country in Latin America, to being the second most violent country in the region, surpassed only by Jamaica, to having 60 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants,” Casado reported, while highlighting the lack of freedom of expression and the extreme censorship experienced in that country.

In the same way, he assured that the United States supports this situation to promote the thesis of a failed State in Ecuador and to send “aid” to reinstall the Manta military base.

“They want to give the image of a failed state while supporting that government so that the intervention of the United States is increasing,” he stressed.
