Political analyst Fernando Rivero, argued that “there is a minority of opposition political sectors that seek destabilization in the country, they want to assume political power in Venezuela anyway.”
The statement was made by Rivero, regarding the recent announcement made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, about a new conspiracy by the United States and extreme sectors of the opposition against the Bolivarian Government.
During the Al Aire program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he stated that currently the extreme sectors of the opposition need, through force, a change of Government in Venezuela, “to damage civic-military unity, to break up a fundamental heritage of the people, such as unity.”
In that regard, he said that it is important to highlight the participation of the United States intelligence services.
“They already realize the importance of Venezuela in the region and proof of this is the presence of the Southern Command in a disputed continent. The head of the Southern Command is openly present in a sovereign country like Ecuador and they propose military bases to solve a problem of citizen security. The United States wants to have a greater political impact in the region,” he stressed.
Faced with this scenario, Rivero stressed that the Bolivarian Government seeks mechanisms to have a climate of coexistence and prevent the country from plunging into political conflict, “but the nation faces plans that are not built in Venezuela.”
On the other hand, he considered that the 7T have a key element, “Bolivarian democracy, which calls for citizen participation, opening the doors of institutions for the People to formulate and monitor public policies.”
