As part of the Great National Pilgrimage for Productive Venezuela, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, visited Apure state to oversee priority projects and strengthen direct contact with agricultural communities in the encounter with agricultural producing communes.
During the meeting, Rodríguez emphasized: “We have to eradicate the habit of going to capitals alone, we have to be deep in this land to know the difficulties and deal with them directly.”
He also placed special emphasis on the urgency of intervening trunk 19, stressing that it is the most important road in the region and requires comprehensive repair, especially in the section after Mantecal, which has precarious conditions. In this regard, Jorge Rodríguez urged working closely with the governor to resolve this situation and ensure efficient traffic in the area.
Regarding the local health system, Rodríguez highlighted the announcements made by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, stating that the Dr. Pablo Acosta Ortiz General Hospital (often known by its acronym, HPAO) has been selected for in-depth intervention.
The objective, he explained, is to leave the healthcare center impeccable, as new, ensuring that it has operating rooms, intensive care units and all the necessary emergency services for the population.
These actions are part of the national strategy to decentralize government management and bring concrete solutions to territories farthest from urban centers.
With this deployment, it seeks to consolidate an articulated response between the different levels of government to raise the quality of life of the inhabitants of Apure and promote the agro-productive development of the entity.
