The Craft Fair of the World Festival “Viva Venezuela mi Patria Querida”, held in the Plaza de los Museos, is decorated with the presence of two exponents of popular art from Apurea, Yilda Laya and Pastora Cuero, a pair of artisans carrying an invaluable cultural heritage, who exhibited their traditional pieces, as a reflection of Llanera's identity.
In this sense, Caracas becomes a showcase of Apure's regional creativity, where visitors can admire and purchase objects made with natural macanilla fiber.
Let's remember that with the raw material extracted from the leaves of the macanilla, the expert hands of women and men make hats, bags, fans and rugs, among other items that testify to local skill and ingenuity.
It should be noted that the fair is not only an opportunity to obtain a unique piece, but also to interact with the creators, who, with each intertwining, share stories and traditions of the Venezuelan plains.
In addition, this event is an invitation to immerse yourself in the country's cultural wealth, through craftsmanship that pulsates with the spirit of Apure and its people.
