Aragua declares heritage to more than 60 cultivators and cultural events

The Regional Executive of Aragua, together with the Legislative Council of the Bolivarian State of Aragua (CLEBA), granted the patrimonial declaration to more than 60 living cultivators, groups, festivities, expressions of faith and other cultural manifestations present in the 18 municipalities of the entity.
The measure was formalized by decree of Governor Joana Sánchez, as part of actions to strengthen Aragüeña's cultural identity and recognize the immaterial expressions that are part of the region's traditions.
The president of CLEBA, Katiana Hernández, highlighted the scope of the institutional act, especially because it recognizes people who for more than three decades have contributed to preserving the traditions of Aragua.
“More than 60 honorees, between intangible heritage and living cultural heritage, were exalted, after an investigation promoted by the Secretariat of Culture in the company of the Permanent Commission of the Legislators,” Hernández said.
