Representatives from different sectors of Aragua responded to the call for enlistment, made by the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro for this Friday, August 29, in order to form ranks of the country's fighting bodies.
The president of the Bolivarian Legislative Council of Aragua (CLEBA), Katiana Hernández, pointed out that these actions are part of the people's response to the call for enlistment, stressing that workers from the regional legislative body were deployed in Plaza Bolívar in Maracay with the firm intention of defending the Homeland at this crucial moment.
“Venezuela is mobilizing in peace and with conscience, rejecting the vile aggressions of North American imperialism, which has brought death and tragedy to the peoples of the world. Today, Venezuelans defend our right to live in peace, the right to self-determination of peoples and the decision to ratify our president Nicolás Maduro as a driver of peace,” he said.
Hernández indicated that in this space, where participatory and leading democracy is present, they reaffirm their conviction of class struggle.
He described it as an “extraordinary and voluntary demonstration, driven by an immense love for our country. Not only have we registered our presence, but so have our older adults, parents, children, neighbors and neighbors. The defense of the homeland and our right to live in peace is an issue that unites us as Venezuelans, regardless of political colors.”
