Aragua: Minister Villegas accompanied the Zamora municipality's Youth Cultural Festival

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, accompanied the Youth Cultural Festival of the Zamora municipality in the state of Aragua, which took place in the spaces of the Rafael Bolívar Coronado House of Culture.
“I am
impressed and deeply moved by the pride you show
towards Zamora (...) the scene we have seen here (play), which
contrasts Zamora with betrayal to vindicate the primary figure in
our history, our Liberator Simon Bolivar,” Villegas said during the activity.
At the same time, Villegas pledged to support the recovery of Casa
de Zamora, a historic space, and to work to turn it into a
cultural epicenter, as well as to promote the creation of new houses of culture in the communes.
In addition, he announced support for the strategy to promote reading
promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, proposing the creation of a book
with biographies of Ezequiel Zamora written by young people from Villa de Cura.
“Let's have a cultured and informed people and discover the wonder of reading a book calmly made of paper, holding it in your hands, putting it in your arms, carrying it
to bed, to the bathroom, to the cart, and to be able to
enjoy the wonder of reading and also writing.
Because we can't just be consumers,” he said.
The Youth Cultural Festival in Zamora highlights the active role of youth in building their future, with the support of the authorities to materialize their dreams and strengthen the cultural and social fabric of their communities, according to a note from the Ministry for Culture.
