In the state of Aragua, a Bolivarian cantata commemorated the bicentenary of the Panamanian Afictional Congress. The conference took place at the Ingenio Bolivar house located in the Bolívar municipality of the entity.
With the participation of the governor of the entity Karina Carpio and with the deputy Ricardo Molina as orderly speaker, the attendees enjoyed a cantata with Bolivarian rhythms, melodies and lyrics.
Also present at the event were the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante, the organizer of the entity's United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), José Gregorio Colmenares, and the deputies Jesús Pérez, who recited a poem by Pablo Neruda in honor of El Libertador.
According to a press release from the PSUV, the first vice-president of the National Assembly stressed that this is a little-known date that must be studied by the People. “There is one element that is important to highlight and that is the need to expand Bolivar and study it every day,” he said.
He added that on a day like today, El Libertador convened countries for the Congress of Panama, which marked one of his dreams: unity. “Today we commemorate the bicentenary of that call, the Bolivar message is still in force and today the empire attacks us in the same way and we are sure that we will win.”
Meanwhile, Deputy Molina said that “today we must call for reflection and that is why this commemoration has an important significance. The enemy is still the same and we are going to defeat him”
Meanwhile, the governor of the entity stressed that Bolívar fought, rescued and surrendered with his army. “The visionary man that we had who walked this earth is the greatest pride we have. We highlight an important historical event full of values of Homeland, justice and loyalty that are kept alive. There is no land like Venezuela on another continent.”
He stressed that those who today are asking for sanctions against our Homeland must be reminded that “they will never return (...) Our dignity is not negotiable at any table”.
