Attorney General of the Republic of Venezuela meets with UN representatives

The Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Devoe Márquez, held a working meeting this Monday with Gianluca Rampolla, resident and humanitarian coordinator of UN Venezuela, and María Angélica Alvarado, coordinator of the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, according to information published on the Instagram account of the Public Ministry.
The meeting explored lines of work and areas of cooperation that can be developed to strengthen the work of the Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of the criminal justice system, with the aim of increasing access to justice and the protection of human rights for the entire population, says the institution's note.
UN Venezuela is a group of 22 agencies, funds and programs led by a Resident Coordinator who works in the country to support socio-economic recovery, humanitarian action, social dialogue and human rights.
Meanwhile, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR or OHCHR) is the main UN body dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights in the world.
