Head of State at the UN: Venezuela has begun a process of democratic transformation for its rebirth

During her speech at the high-level segment of the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), this Wednesday, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the beginning of a process of democratic transformation for the rebirth of the nation.

“Today I come to this Assembly as another daughter of Venezuela, to present the aspirations of a country that seeks to build its own destiny after political conflicts in the midst of an economic blockade that impacted the model of development, inclusion and equality,” said the president in her speech, from New York, United States (USA).

He highlighted that Venezuela, for a long time, was “a country divided between trenches, where the color of a partisan flag outweighed the common surname that we all share: Venezuelans.”

In this regard, he urged us to close this phase to begin a new political era, “based on truth, justice and the ability to look forward together and find, in respectful political dialogue, a genuine space to settle the differences that we as Venezuelans have, always seeking a horizon in favor of the country,” he stressed.

“I am pleased to announce that Venezuela has begun a process of democratic transformation for its rebirth. An orderly, institutional and verifiable process to build a country that is freer for all, more prosperous and more reconciled with itself,” said the head of state.
