Authorities warned of the arrival of tropical wave number 19 in the country this Tuesday

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) announced that tropical wave No. 19, currently traveling over the Central Tropical Atlantic Ocean, would arrive in the state of Guayana Esequiba between Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23; while wave No. 20, which follows the route of its predecessor, is estimated to arrive in the Esequibo territory between Sunday, July 27 and Monday, July 28.
In its report, INAMEH points out that Venezuela begins the week with rains in a large part of the national territory, accompanied by some electric shocks in areas of the states of Bolívar, Apure, Barinas, Portuguesa, as well as in Lake Maracaibo, Zulia state.
At night, rainfall will intensify, some of up to 100 millimeters in the states of Amazonas and Bolivar.
In addition, the rains will continue in Mérida, Táchira and Trujillo, moving to the central-western area of the country, specifically in the states of Portuguesa, Barinas, Cojedes and Guárico. Rainfall is also expected in the plain region and some areas of the east, although of lower intensity, with cumulative rainfall between 3 and 80 millimeters with a maximum of one hundred millimeters south of Amazonas, according to the INANEH bulletin.
