The National Assembly (AN) approved this Thursday the appointment of Coromoto Godoy Calderón as the new permanent representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN).

During the discussion of the third item on the agenda, the deputy of the National Assembly, Ilenia Medina, stressed that this appointment seeks to strengthen the country's diplomatic presence before the international organization. He also highlighted the strategic importance of having a strong and experienced voice such as that of Godoy, who takes on the challenge of defending national sovereignty in a complex international context.
