After four years of absence from Round Robin of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), Águilas del Zulia got his pass after defeating Tigres de Aragua 9-6 at the Luis El Grande stadium in Maracaibo.
A five-run cluster in the bottom of the sixth inning allowed the raptors to flip the score and put it in their favor 5—2. Later, the visit produced four and the locals added 2 more to keep the victory.
Pitcher Francisco Carrillo took the victory. Silvino Bracho the saved one. While Panamanian Kenny Hernández bore the defeat.
With a score of 29-23, the Zulian team became the second to secure their presence in Round Robin, after Cardenales de Lara. If he kept his second place in the table, Águilas would open the postseason in his nest.
Zulia has four appointments left to close the regular wheel. While Tigres has five games left to try to conquer the standings.
