Banco del Tesoro activated a full day of health and recreation at the José Gervasio Artigas camp

The Treasury Bank, in coordination with the ministries of the People's Power for Health and the Ministry of Culture, activated a deployment of comprehensive care in the Transitional Camp of the José Gervasio Artigas Educational Complex. This operation provided medical, recreational and psychological assistance to more than 380 refugees after the earthquakes of June 24.

During the day, the El Niño Simon National Foundation and the Heart Inside Culture Mission offered fun activities, magic tricks and percussion and craft workshops. These activities focused primarily on the emotional restraint and healthy recreation of the children and adolescents in the shelter.

In the health area, the staff of the Ministry of Health implemented a preventive immunization plan for children and adults. The commissions applied essential doses against diseases such as polio, yellow fever, measles, rubella and mumps, ensuring epidemiological protection in the shelter.

For their part, the Nevado Mission and the Paws And Pairs Organization carried out a comprehensive veterinary operation to evaluate and deworm the companion animals of affected families. With these joint actions, allied institutions confirm their commitment to solidarity to dignify and stabilize the community.
