A total of 150 patients with ophthalmic pathologies in the state
of Barinas underwent surgery through the National Surgical Plan,
according to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias.
According to the publication, the deployment
was carried out at the Socialist Ophthalmological Surgical Center, where
150 patients, from different municipalities, with cataracts were treated.
Andreina
Rodríguez, the only health authority in the state, stressed that this achievement is the
result of the joint work between the Miracle Mission, the Cuban Medical Mission and the Barrio Adentro Mission
Foundation, adding that patients not only receive
high-end surgical intervention completely free of charge, but they also
have a multidisciplinary team that guarantees their specialized postoperative follow-up.”
Finally,
it became known that these patients are recruited through the VenApp platform of the 1×10
of Good Governance.
