Responding to the call of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, for the Great Pilgrimage United for a Venezuela without Sanctions and for Peace, the Venezuelan people will come out in peace to ask for their cessation to work in national unity.

Political analyst and journalist Aldemaro Barrios and the Deputy Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, agree on this approach, who, in a joint broadcast by Radio Nacional de Venezuela (RNV) and Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), argued that these acts demand the union of the country, as well as the union of Latin America and the Caribbean.

In this regard, Barrios affirmed that the only way to achieve a state of total sovereignty and independence “is through union in Latin America, so we must start with the closest area we have, which is our family, community, among others.”

“This call is from his environment, but also from all the states of the country, and that call made by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez is part of the demands for unity in peace,” he said.

For his part, Deputy Minister Castillo stressed that in the pilgrimage there is a route that this great national movement will take to end on May 1st with large gatherings that reflect that spirit of union, of coexistence.

“This is a firm, peaceful and sovereign call for the entire issue of sanctions to be reviewed and we can return to international law, to international legality through the elimination of them,” he emphasized.

In his opinion, it seems historic that a process of national coexistence is accelerating, after what happened on January 3, “we have learned to live together in the midst of a climate that does not deny debate, does not deny having different positions, but seeks to channel these positions into the Constitution; that is why this pilgrimage is a good first experience of national coexistence, of searching for meeting points”.

He assured that there are still extremist sectors in the opposition that are still asking for sanctions, that call for violence, that seek national deterioration.

“This is a minority sector and the task is to try to unite all the patriotic sectors that want to work, want a peaceful Venezuela,” he said.
