In September 2024, the month-on-month variation of the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) was 0.8%, which represents a slowdown compared to the previous month when it stood at 1.4%.

According to a press release from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), inflation in September 2024 is the lowest recorded, for that month, since 2008.

In addition, the issuing entity explained that during the third quarter of 2024, there was also the lowest variation in inflation during that period since 2008, standing at 3%.

“Compared to years prior to 2008 when the measurement was concentrated in the Metropolitan Area of Caracas (AMC), the cumulative variation between July-September of the currents was 3.1% and represents the third lowest value since 1986 when it was 2.4% and 2007 when it was 2.9%,” reported the BCV.

In the same way, he explained that the clear progress in price stabilization is the palpable result of the new economy and of the efforts of all Venezuelans to overcome the economic siege resulting from the criminal sanctions imposed on the Republic and its People.
