The president of the Beach Tourism Chamber, Joan Martínez, reported that, after the success of Carnival, when the entity once again positioned itself as one of the most visited destinations in the country, during Holy Week, service providers maintain affordable and uniform rates on the 66 suitable beaches on the coast, betting on quality as the main differentiating element.

In this regard, he explained that the rental of awnings with two chairs is kept at 10 dollars, while recreational activities such as banana and boat rides are worth 4 and 3 dollars respectively, he reported on his Ultimo Noticias website.

He specified that enjoying water parks costs 3 dollars for five minutes, parking is fixed at 2 dollars, and the gastronomic offer includes options such as chicken tenders for 6 dollars and fish dishes between 10 and 12 dollars.

Martínez highlighted the evolution of the sector towards a more organized and professional model. “We have ceased to be informal vendors to become beach entrepreneurs, with access to financing from public and private banks, reflecting confidence and growth,” he said.

One of the pillars of this transformation is training. Recently, 235 service providers were certified in the Carayaca parish through a program promoted by the regional Tourism Institute, which includes nine training areas, including customer service and English, with a view to serving both domestic and international tourism. This process will continue with new cohorts to cover the entire sector.

The implementation of a digital registration system using a QR code is also progressing, which already includes more than 2,000 beach workers. This mechanism, a requirement for operating on beaches, makes it possible to organize, identify and monitor service providers, consolidating La Guaira as a pioneer in this type of control at the national level.

In terms of services, the leader assured that all beaches have security installations, reinforced during the holidays, as well as a varied recreational offer that includes boat trips, bananas and inflatable parks for the enjoyment of visitors.

In addition, coordination was established with the SITSSA public transport system, to facilitate access from Caracas, through units that will operate between Thursday and Sunday at specific times, which will reduce waiting times and improve the mobility of tourists.

The diversification of the offer is also present in the gastronomic field, with innovative proposals in coastal areas such as Camurí Chico, where new culinary alternatives are incorporated, such as Peruvian dishes on the seashore, that enrich the visitor's experience.

Martínez said that the state is preparing for a possible opening upon the arrival of tourist cruises, which represents a strategic opportunity to consolidate La Guaira as an integral destination.

Unlike previous years, when visitors were transferred directly to Caracas, this new phase seeks to keep them in the region, promoting tours of beaches, the historic center, the coastal strips, the Los Caracas Holiday Town and mountain areas such as Galipán.

“We have everything in one state: beach, mountain, history and recreation. We are ready to offer quality service and continue to position La Guaira as a tourist reference, that is our oil,” he concluded.
