The governor of Anzoátegui, Luis Marcano, went to the Carvajal municipality to deal directly with the contingency that occurred after the intense rainfall recorded in the state in the last few hours.

The Carvajal municipality was specifically affected by the flooding of three streams in the town of El Placer, in Valle Guanape, according to the Government on its Instagram account.

Marcano held a meeting with one of the affected families in order to learn about their needs and coordinate immediate comprehensive assistance.

Also participating in the tour were the mayor of the Carvajal municipality, Elba Chafardet, the president of the Anzoátegui Road and Infrastructure Corporation (COVINEA), Katiuska Homsi, and part of the executive cabinet, who organized the required technical and logistical deployment on site.

As part of the approach, heavy machinery is operating to carry out cleaning tasks, channeling sediments and restoring passage in areas impacted by rains, with the objective of ensuring the safety and stability of the community.
