The Bolivarian Government is successfully advancing the high-impact preventive maintenance operation on the Guaire River in Caracas, which is part of the commitment of the Venezuelan State to guarantee the safety of the population in the face of the arrival of the rainy season in the national territory.
For the execution of these works, specialized crews and heavy machinery have been mobilized at strategic points in the capital's affluent.
The deployment includes exhaustive weeding and collection of solid waste, as well as technical processes for excavation, flattening, hauling and the final disposal of more than 45,000 cubic meters of sediment.
The central objective of this large scale intervention is to optimize the river's drainage capacity, making it possible to significantly reduce the risks of overflows and floods in adjacent areas.
With these actions, the national Government reaffirms its presence in the territory and its capacity to respond to protect the people, by bringing security, tranquility and well-being to each community.
Risk management remains a priority on the public services agenda to safeguard the integrity of Venezuelan families.
