The Bolivarian Government, through the Los Andes 2025 Task Force, continues with road rehabilitation work in the El Potrerito sector, Monsignor Jáuregui parish in the Boconó municipality, Trujillo state, as part of the comprehensive plan to address the effects generated by recent rainfall in the Andean region.
In an articulated manner, institutions such as the Ministry of Popular Power for Public Works (MPPOP), Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor (BNBT), the Ministry for Ecosocialism (MINEC), Civil Protection, the Government of Trujillo State and the Mayor's Office of Boconó, among other entities, are still deployed in the territory to ensure the passability and security of communities.
The works include the removal of sediments, stabilization of slopes and conditioning of alternative roads, with the support of heavy machinery and specialized technical personnel. This joint effort responds to the commitment of the National Executive to respond to road emergencies in a timely manner and to protect affected families.
It should be noted that the heavy rains recorded in the Boconó municipality during the month of June caused landslides, ravines and edge faults in various sectors, including El Potrerito. According to official reports, more than 20 machines have been deployed in Mosquey, Monseñor Jáuregui, General Rivas and San José de Tostós parishes, as part of the recovery operation launched by the Los Andes 2025 Task Force.
