Authorities of the Bolivarian Government and the Military High
Command made a floral offering to the Father of the Fatherland, Simon
Bolivar, at the National Pantheon in Caracas, on the occasion of the commemoration of the
Bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho, a historic event that contributed to the liberation and independence of the peoples of the South.
The activity was led by the sectoral
vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace,
Diosdado Cabello Rondón, who highlighted the honor of commemorating 200 years of the Battle of
Ayacucho and that is why today more than ever Venezuela continues to raise the flag of the struggles of free peoples.
Also present at the event were the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López; the sectoral vice-president for social and territorial socialism, Héctor Rodríguez; the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante; the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez; Heads of the Superior General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, among other officials of the National Government.
