The head of government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, awarded awards to the men and women of the Fire Department, for their admirable work during the fires that have affected the green areas of the capital and in distinction to the acts they have carried out in commitment to the safety and well-being of communities.
Fernández, through his account on the social network X, stressed that “the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has recognized the work of the Caracas Fire Department, who, through its 'Short Fire' strategy, has managed to prevent fires in urban areas, power plants, CDI and hospitals, thus protecting society, especially during sabotage.”
In this regard, in a video attached to the message, Fernández pointed out that with this type of act the Bolivarian Government demonstrates its constant support for this important body, responsible for safeguarding the lives of countless citizens of the Capital District, especially in the face of threats of sabotage and foreign attacks reported by the National Executive and which threaten the well-being of the population.
“New generations see firefighters as an example to follow, admiring their nobility and constant dedication to public service. In Caracas, they have been recognized in various ways for their tireless work,” he said.
