Through a surgical day carried out at the José María Vargas hospital in La Guaira and with the organization of the Bolivarian Government, ten coronary patients who received pacemaker implants were treated, bringing the total number of interventions of this type performed so far this year to 34.

The sole health authority of the coastal entity, Nelare Bermúdez, highlighted that these operations are part of the strategy promoted by the 1×10 Good Governance program, which guarantees free access to advanced health treatments for those who need it. The beneficiaries, of different ages, were selected through community reports and hospital medical consultations.

“This program allows the Bolivarian State to bear the costs of these interventions, even in the midst of economic sanctions affecting the country,” he said in a regional press release.
