At the Rafael Rangel Hospital, located in the municipality of Boconó, a surgical day of salpingectomy was held, a procedure that consists of the removal of one or both fallopian tubes, this time benefiting 16 women from the town.

The director of the hospital, Naeémy Márquez, reported that all interventions were performed without complications, guaranteeing each patient the availability of supplies, quality medical care and adequate post-operative care.

Márquez explained that salpingectomy may be indicated for various medical reasons, such as the prevention of unwanted pregnancies or the treatment of gynecological diseases.

He also highlighted that this day is part of the actions taken to reduce surgical debt in the region, reaffirming the commitment of the health system to provide timely, free and humanized care to the population.

The patients, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health, were previously captured through operations organized by the governor's office, the Outpatient Network, the municipality's mayor's office and consultations carried out at the hospital itself.
