Bolivarian Government cleans riverbeds to protect bridges in Lara

The Bolivarian Government began cleaning some 23.5 hectares with sediment removal in the state of Lara, which seeks to improve riverbed management, guaranteeing comprehensive intervention in eight bridges.
According to the press release, these are the Macuto, Las Damas bridges, the one on the old highway to El Tocuyo, Rio Claro, Yacural (Santa Rosa), Guardagallo and Buenavista.
The information was released by Governor Luis Reyes Reyes when work began this Wednesday, June 17, from Barquisimeto, where most of the bridges to be intervened are located.
He added that the tributary maintenance works are being carried out with the support of the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation, who has proposed and provided technical teams to evaluate bridges in the entity, and thus, schedule and prioritize the necessary repairs.
For the work, eight machines of various types are used for deforestation and sediment removal in road infrastructure. According to the authorities, cleaning the sediments will allow the condition of the road works to be observed in an estimated time of 32 weeks.
