Bolivarian Government confirms 100% operation of the La Cabrera viaduct

The Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation (MPPT) and the Government of Carabobo, through the Carabobo State Road Institute (INVIALCA), reported that the La Cabrera viaduct, located on the Regional Highway of the Center (ARC), is 100% operational after technical inspections carried out on the infrastructure.

In a review by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he states that the evaluation made it possible to verify that the north and south runways of the viaduct are kept in conditions suitable for the circulation of private and heavy-duty vehicles.

Diagnostic work included land and lake inspections to verify the overall condition of the structure. In the terrestrial mode, a detailed review of the upper and lower parts of both tracks was carried out, while the foundations and piles submerged in Lake Valencia were evaluated by lake route.

“The diagnosis was developed using land approach modalities with a detailed inspection of the upper and lower part of the north runway (direction Caracas-Valencia) and the southern runway, as well as the lake road where the foundations and piles submerged in Lake Valencia were evaluated,” the official report states.

For supervision, a multidisciplinary technical commission was activated, composed of specialists from the Carabobo regional engineering team, the Presidential Technical Commission of the MPPT and representatives of the scientific delegation of the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services.

They also indicated that the results of the inspection confirm the structural stability of the viaduct, one of the main road connections in the center of the country, thus ensuring the continuity of traffic through this important artery of national communication.
