Bolivarian Government designs new strategies for comprehensive care for communities due to rains

Under the guidance of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, authorities of the Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services, headed by the head of this body, Jorge Márquez, evaluated new strategies aimed at guaranteeing comprehensive care in infrastructure, public works and social protection to communities affected by recent rainfall.

In the account of the social network Instagam, Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services, he reported that the meeting, which also brought together representatives of the Ministries of People's Power for Food and Health, addresses contingency actions within the framework of the multidisciplinary deployments that are taking place in areas of Los Andes and Los Llanos.

In the latter, maneuvers are being carried out to mitigate risks and rehabilitate roads affected by increased river flows.

It specifies that through coordination between the national, regional and municipal levels, central lines are established to guarantee access to food, medicines, telecommunications and electricity.

It also points out that in the face of the emergency situation generated by the intense rains, the aforementioned Vice Presidency coordinates the establishment of collection centers to receive supplies for families who have lost household goods.

Since the beginning of the rainy season, multidisciplinary teams have been deployed throughout the country to meet the needs of the population first hand.
