The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, is carrying out the Communal Christmas Route in the Portuguese state. These are recreational, cultural and educational activities that not only promote local traditions and talents but also promote community participation in events specific to the holiday celebration.
In Portuguesa, the tour began last October and now includes the presentation of 63 music, dance and theater groups in 12 of the 14 municipalities of the state, as well as the participation of nearly 800 cultivators in a varied program that offers the community alternatives for leisure and personal growth.
The route will run until January 6, and it also offers workshops in various areas, including theater, traditional dance and storytelling, handmade creation, Christmas doll making, making traditional toys and making Christmas cards. The training is carried out by eleven facilitators.
The program, according to the cultural office in a press release, has recreated around 4,000 people in Portuguese with activities for audiences of all ages and tastes.Mazo News Team
