Bolivarian Government evaluates land in La Guaira for new homes and camps

The Chief of Staff for Transitional Camps and president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that multidisciplinary teams are carrying out technical studies in the state of La Guaira to identify land suitable for the construction of temporary housing and camps.

These actions respond to the need to care for families affected by the earthquakes that occurred last June 24.

Rodríguez explained that the collection of information included an overflight across the entity, covering from Chichiriviche to the border with Chuspa, with the objective of locating geographically safe areas.

“We are here with our team of scientists, the architect Dulce (Medina), who has presented us with the possibility of land in the state of La Guaira for the subsequent construction of apartments for people who lost their homes on July 24 or also for the construction of temporary camps,” he said.

Currently, the technical team is carrying out soil studies, reviewing existing structures and analyzing the geological conditions and seismic faults recorded in the area.

The plan contemplates the analysis of between thirty-eight and forty pre-selected plots, in order to establish a consensus and assign each space to a specific housing project or to the deployment of temporary camps, depending on the capacity and security of the terrain.
