Bolivarian Government inaugurated multiple addictions area located in the Psychiatric Hospital of Caracas

El Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP) inaugurated the multiple addictions area located in the Psychiatric Hospital of Caracas, with the objective of improving care within the National Public System for Addiction Treatment (SPNTA).
De according to information issued by the Ministry, the event was led by the MG. Danny Ferrer Sandrea, National Anti-Drug Superintendent, together with GD. Santiago Sandoval, director of FONA, and the CA. José Mendoza, head of the Hipolita Black Mission. It was also attended by the GB. Rosalba Hurtado, Deputy Minister of Integral Health of the MPPS; the general director of crime prevention Lusmialit Perdomo; and Dr. Nectali Tovar, director of the Psychiatric Hospital of Caracas, who accompanied the development of the activity.
El National Anti-Drug Superintendent emphasized that this is the first multiple addiction service that integrates the three levels of care: Family Counseling Centers (COF), Specialized Centers for Prevention and Comprehensive Care (CEPAI) and Socialist Therapeutic Communities (CTS).
En In this regard, it became known that the National Anti-Drug Fund (FONA) carried out various adaptation works on the facilities, ensuring that it meets the standards necessary for the recovery process.
Por for his part, during his speech, Dr. Nectali Tovar, Director of the Hospital, reported that this institution will have the capacity to receive 120 people per week who will be treated under a scheme of social psychoactive treatment, which will allow these men and women to be reintegrated into society.
Finalmente, with the delivery of these remodeling works, the hospitalization service for multiple addictions, designed to address various clinical conditions, including behavioral pathologies such as gambling and dependence on technology, is formally activated. The comprehensive rehabilitation of the infrastructure allowed the opening of critical areas that include hospitalization bedrooms, the detoxification and nursing unit, as well as recreational spaces and services such as a sports court, kitchen and dining room for the benefit of patients and staff assistance
