Bolivarian Government inspects damage caused by heavy rains in Guárico

The Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services, on instructions from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, is still deployed in the state of Guárico, where it inspects the damage caused by recent floods, caused by heavy rains and climate change, while coordinating the next steps in road repair in the La Negra sector, in the municipality of Camaguán.
The Vice President of Public Works and Services, Jorge Márquez, highlighted the collaboration between the Bolivarian Government and citizens, noting that food, water, medicine and shelter resources are arriving to alleviate the situation and provide peace of mind to those affected.
The governor of Guárico, Donald Donaire, highlighted the State's constant presence in the area, guaranteeing close attention and immediate solutions for affected communities.
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, reported that, through navigation on the Portuguesa River, it was detected that the water flow reaches 700,000 liters per second.
“To reduce water levels, road cuts have been implemented, a measure that is expected to alleviate the situation soon and provide greater peace of mind to the population,” he explained.
He also noted that the workforce of the National Pipeline Institute is relentlessly carrying out drainage work on this important artery that connects Guárico with San Fernando de Apure, improving mobility in the region.
In addition, the Minister of Popular Power for Public Works, Juan Ramírez Luces, stated that the National Government has provided specialized machinery to carry out mitigation works and long-term structural solutions.
One of the residents expressed his gratitude to the Bolivarian Government, stressing that more than 9,000 families have received help with food, medicine and shelter, managing to cope with the crisis with state support.
