Bolivarian Government installed defense points to serve affected families in La Guaira

The Ombudsman's Office activated Emergency Defense Points in shelters and collection centers in La Guaira in order to receive complaints, guide people affected by the earthquakes of 24 June and ensure immediate attention.

The ombudsman, Eglée González Lobato, directly verified the living conditions of the sheltered families.

The Defenders and Defenders Brigades maintain a presence in the areas with the greatest impact and, through coordination with State institutions and representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, guarantee support and protection of the rights of the affected population.
