In response to community requests through the 1x10 Good Governance System, the state company Aguas de Monagas carried out the construction of a water network in the Maturín municipality of the eastern entity.
The tasks included the excavation and installation of 400 meters of pipes, in addition to the connection to the main network, together with 13 anchors to ensure stability in the infrastructure.
The project will benefit 1,800 people, grouped into 500 families and a local educational institution, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Water Care.
Eduardo Rengel, a resident of the sector, highlighted that the community had been without access to drinking water for more than 15 years and valued the intervention of Governor Ernesto Luna through Aguas de Monagas to improve supply in the area.
