The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the country is registering 22 consecutive quarters of economic growth, despite the financial blockade and, recently, the double earthquake.

During her speech at a session of the National Economic Council, at the opening of the meeting with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, the president pointed out that Venezuela is making progress in terms of financing for the public sector and the private sector.

“May the private sector, in this new phase of its relationship with the Inter-American Development Bank, find mechanisms to expand its activity,” he said.

In this regard, he emphasized that the country has a very important installed industrial capacity, in addition to the communal economy, the entrepreneurial economy. “That all sectors of the economy at their different levels can feel what it is to access these financing mechanisms to guarantee their economic activity and to continue to advance and develop.”

He stressed that the third quarter of 2026 “would already lead us to 22 consecutive quarters of growth of at least 6.5% percent, despite the double earthquake. That speaks volumes about what we Venezuelans are capable of.”
